Change. It's coming, it's exciting, it's inevitable, it's here. There's a common belief among educators that participation in sports incites positive change in individuals. Increased confidence, greater community spirit, increased success in school, lower levels of truancy and risky behavior ... all are associated with participation in a youth sport. In addition, there are greater opportunities for structure, for support, for belonging and friendship and for engagement in the community. In the spirit of change for the betterment of our youth through empowerment, unity and play, the USTA has introduced its new youth brand, NET GENERATION, for the next generation. First and foremost, Net Generation will always be committed to the safety and well-being of all players with an emphasis in building character on and off the court. Net Generation makes tennis approachable, accessible, adaptable & fun. Want to know more? Check it out at https://netgeneration.usta.com/ See you on the courts!

AuthorHi, like you, I'm a supporter of tennis. I'm invested in it. I believe in its positive impact. I've experienced its benefits on-court and off-court firsthand. I personally began playing regularly at the "ripe" young age of 40. As a kid, I'd hit against the wall of our house from the driveway (doing my best to avoid my mother's kitchen sink window). I'd watched my mother have great fun on the courts with her friends. Fast forward now to my own child playing - what a joy and blessing it is to share in her journey and the journey of so many of our community's youth. It's what it's all about...FUN, LEARNING, GROWING, SHARING & SERVING. More to come about the journey of LOVE ALL. Archives
